**Job Description**
The Receiver/Stocking position supports the Qavartarvik Customer Lodge with an emphasis on the Food Service Department by accepting and logging in freight as ordered and routes incoming items to the appropriate locations.
_This is a local position in Bethel, AK supporting the Qavartarvik Customer Lodge. Seeking to hire local Bethel residents only._
**Responsibilities**
+ Checks in and stores all incoming materials per designated layout.
+ Communicates outs and low pars to managers.
+ Conducts monthly inventory.
+ Follows, supports and is accountable for HACCP.
+ Completes receiving log, ensures that products received from vendors are the correct items, in the proper quantities, without damage, at the proper temperature and records data.
+ Refuses immediately upon delivery of any damaged or expired items in temperature danger zone, communicating back to manager and vendor immediately.
+ Completes Damage and Loss Claim form at time of delivery.
+ Stores and restocks items within Food Safety and other guidelines.
+ Rotates product while putting away received items to ensure FIFO (First In, First Out).
+ Properly labels products and maintains information logs and records.
+ Keeps food service coolers and freezers and storerooms organized, clean and free of hazards and expired product-reporting findings to manager immediately.
+ Utilized Lean Path Waste Watch program for any food waste.
+ Responsible for verifying food/ product expiration dates according to Food Safety standards prior to accepting.
+ Keeps an accurate inventory of products kept in exterior connex stores.
+ Reports on all concerns and issues related to receiving and food safety to manager.
+ Participates in the weekly counting of inventory of all stock items.
+ Maintains cleanliness of all storage areas and delivery areas.
+ Supports an effective safety program.
+ Maintains a neat and clean personal appearance.
+ Follows dress code according to departments policies
+ Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Must have a High school diploma or GED equivalent.
+ Must obtain the Managers ServSafe certification prior to assuming position and go through all Food Safety Fundamentals training.
+ Must be able to perform each of the essential duties listed above with a professional degree of competency.
+ Must be able to use a computer using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
+ Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
+ Contract requires candidate to get a flu shot pre-hire and annually thereafter.
+ Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Food Service experience.
+ Warehouse experience.
