Hotel Receptionist / Manager
Responsibilities:
Offer a warm and friendly welcome to all guests upon arrival and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures Handle reservations both over the phone and online, managing bookings and guest inquiries with professionalism Provide information to guests about hotel facilities and local attractions, making recommendations to enhance their stay Address guests' needs and complaints, ensuring they always feel listened to and taken care of Manages housekeeping teem and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure room readiness and address any issues promptly Maintain accurate guest records and manage billing processes Support the hotel's broader team by collaborating successfully across departments Manage staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling Ensure adherence to the highest standards of hospitality and cleanliness Collaborate with the culinary team to enhance the guest dining experience Coordinate with the events team to ensure flawless execution of functions Check on guests at the restaurant  Qualifications:
Previous experience in a hotel reception or front desk role. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Proficiency in using hotel management software, Semper, Night Bridge Pastel, and MS Office applications A friendly and professional demeanour Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus Flexibility in working hours, including weekends evenings and holidays Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and report generation Familiarity with the Stellenbosch area and its offerings is a plus Own transport Good health Restaurant Front of house experience Payroll and pastel accounting will be an advantage *ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED*
