This Hourly Personnel Coordinator position is for the Chicago Assembly Plant located in Chicago, IL and reports directly to the Manager, Employee Relations.  

You'll have... 

Bachelor’s Degree 4+ years of experience with Microsoft office tools, including Excel

Experience working with union in manufacturing environment with daily interactions with union staff, hourly employees and leadership Oracle/HCM/TWO experience  Training and Development experience  Previous union contract experience  Experience working with the UAW  

Position Qualifications…

Transactional experience with attention to detail  Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work as a team Demonstrated experience with delivering HR process improvement actions. Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills Ability to work closely and successfully with others in order to deliver results Ability to handle multiple assignment/projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

 

Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

 

Self-starter with multitasking experience within a fluid, vibrant environment, including ability to manage time and resources

What you'll do...

The role has responsibilities that include coordinating hourly transactions for hourly employees including:

Responsible for hourly transactions and tracking manpower planning using an internal database Input transactions for hourly records in a timely fashion Create and maintain records, including ensuring they are audit-compliant Build strong relationships with operations partners, Union representatives, HR colleagues and specialists, and other business partners to jointly deliver strategic objectives and resolve issues Research and understand the National and Local CBAs as it relates to the Hourly Personnel Coordinator role; as well as support the Chicago Assembly Plant HR team.  Supporting hourly personnel recruiting and hiring, Personnel Relations activities and health and safety activities as required Onboarding of new hire employees and create personnel jackets and profiles Serve as Subject Matter Expert for questions regarding policy administration as it applies to hourly personnel Support manpower planning processes, including hiring, layoffs, unemployment, etc. Handle requests and inquiries from Ford’s legal and retirement divisions Encouraging an effective, inclusive work environment / culture and relationships, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company goals and values

Work is onsite in a manufacturing environment.  There may be times when this role may need to work a holiday or a nights/weekends, as assigned.
