The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Corporate Purchasing category team by utilizing various system applications to add and maintain the data necessary to move items through the supply chain.

Responsibilities include:
 data entry and data management of new and existing itemsresearching product and pricing discrepancies with suppliers, internal departments, stores, and customersprocessing and filing Scandown rebates and promotional informationproviding administrative support to the Category Manager and Buyersmanaging Special Item Requests (SIR)providing category support by training new associates on category procedures and processes and assisting other areas when their clerical is on vacation
