Our flagship transitional work program– Ready, Willing & Able– integrates paid work, occupational training, and holistic supportive services to facilitate an individual’s return to mainstream society.

We are seeking a House Manager to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the facility and trainee rooms.  This position will be working out of the Porter Avenue location in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY.

Responsibilities:

Facility inspection and cleanliness of the facility and outside areas. Inspect trainee rooms daily. Coordinate and oversee rubbish and snow removal. Evaluate and document required maintenance and preventive maintenance needs for facility and trainee rooms. Make requests to Support Services Supervisor for supplies and equipment necessary to maintain and clean the facility, bathroom, grounds, and trainee rooms. Supervise and train in-house facility cleaning and laundry crews in proper work performance and behavior. Will provide program orientation for new trainees, and assignment of rooms, and supplies. Assign in-house job functions in conjunction with Support Services Supervisor. Report any infractions or behavioral problems to Program Directors and enter Incident Reports into the CARES database. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to lift 50 lbs; physically manage stored client belongings, including disposal. Certifications in CPF/Frist Aid, F80/Fire Safety & Alarm Systems (Homeless Shelter), and Naloxone preferred.  Candidates who do not possess the aforementioned certifications must make themselves available for training during the 90 Day probationary period. Experience working in human services, preferably with Chemically Dependent, Formerly Incarcerated, and/or Homeless populations preferred. Computer Literate. Must be comfortable navigating databases and proficient in Microsoft Office-based programs: i.e., Word, Excel, and sending/receiving emails.

The salary for this position is up to $19.65 hourly.
