Reports to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for the coordination of patient flow and supervisory activities of float staff during their assigned shift. This position serves as a nursing resource and intervenes in difficult situations or medical crisis. The House Supervisor advocates for the protection and rights of individuals, families, health care providers, nursing and other professions especially related to health and safety. The House Supervisor will ensure the continuing coordination of operations of all hospital departments being consistent with the hospital's values, goals and strategic plan. This position has the authority and responsibility to exercise "command decisions" in all emergency and safety-related situations. Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patients' nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated and met.

Required qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program. California Registered Nurse License upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. 1 year Charge Nurse or leadership experience and demonstrated leadership abilities.Why Join Providence?
