House Supervisor (RN)

Summary: The House Supervisor is a nursing role responsible for coordinating day-to-day nursing operations across units within the hospital, including facilitating patient and clinician flow throughout the system of care. Responsibilities: • Assigns or re-assigns per diem, float staff, agency staff, and regular staff, as operations necessitate, to provide optimum patient care based on assessment of staff-related information. Communicate rationale for re-assignments to the appropriate clinical department director(s). • Functions as a clinical expert to assess and determine the clinical placement needs of acute care patients. • Increases leader visibility by actively rounding on all Nursing units to optimize patient care, enhance patient safety, as well as empower, support and develop our staff. • Functions as a resource for physicians, inpatient staff, and admissions staff on medical necessity issues and determination of appropriate level of care. • Provides in-the-moment support and teaching to new orientees, agency and/or per diem staff and charge nurses. PARDEE Other information: Qualifications Required • Bachelors degree in Nursing required. • Two (2) years of experience in clinical leadership. • Three (3) years of experience working in a clinical role in an acute care setting. • Strong verbal and written communication.
