Responsibilities

St Mary's Medical Center (SMMC) is seeking a full time day shift RN to fill our House Supervisor role!!!

 

The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who assumes administrative responsibility for the management of all department service functions on his/her shift.  The House Supervisor duties include, but are not limited to:

makes frequent rounds overseeing the daily operations throughout facility to monitor the delivery of careoversee the quality of services and direct patient care activities as neededdirectly supervises, provides support to and communicates with all staff house-widein the absence of the Hospital Administrative staff, the administrative scope and responsibility is extended to all services within the hospitalensures efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospitalensuring quality patient care by managing staff schedules, coordinating patient care activities, responding to emergencies, and acting as a resource for staff performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope of practice and competenceensures all temporary agency personnel are deployed and oriented in compliance with hospital policyassist medical staff with scheduling after hour procedures and calling in stand-by call staff membersenhances the patient/family experience through supportive interactions and explanations of hospital policies as needed

 

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Training

current and valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN)current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain currenACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain currentone (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor, preferredminimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experienceBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferred
