Houseboat Supervisor

Compensation Amount:

21.00 USD Hourly

Job Summary:

The Houseboat Supervisor supervises the houseboat rental operation safely and efficiently. This position serves as the primary contact for the houseboat rental fleet. The Supervisor administers a pre-launch orientation with the rental guests. The Supervisor drives the houseboat for the guests through the Buttonwood Canal between the Marina and Coot Bay. This position requires that a high level of customer service is provided.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Safe operation, cleaning, and general up keep of houseboatsSafe vessel tie up to docks, piers, ships, and mooringsPositive communication with guests and crewProvide a guest orientation for safe operation and use of onboard equipment, electronics, and utilitiesRepair and modification of related equipment such as pumps, lines, hosesGrease, lube, and maintenance of the marine systemsMaintain accurate logs and recordsInteracts with customers and management in a professional mannerDriving, moving, docking, of houseboats.Refuel, operate tank pump outs, fill water tanks, stock propane tanksProvide training and orientation of houseboats for guests prior to departureMake sure all items on the orientation checklist are supplied and stocked on the houseboatHousekeeping of houseboats after guest use to include laundering of linensContact of guests prior to arrival to discuss all prearrival concerns and/or questionsCoordinate arrival and departure times with guestsOther duties as assigned by management 

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Current and valid USCG License OAPV LicenseMust be able to work in all types of weather conditionsMust be available to work a flexible work schedulePrevious dock/marina experience preferredAbility to work with little direct supervisionAbility to lift, carry, and move heavy objects and/or equipmentAbility to take and adhere to instructionsAbility to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with othersSmall boat handling skills, passenger vessel experience a plusWebRez Pro and FareHarbor POS System experience a plus

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand and walk on nearly a constant basisAble to bend, rotate and reach frequentlyCarry, push/pull and/or lift materials weighing upwards of 75 lbs.Ascending/descending stairs or ladders safelyManipulate/handle/grip materials required to perform jobManeuver through/in/around small and/or confined areas within the vessel     Must be able to maintain both static and dynamic standing balance to complete various duties associated with jobMust be capable of performing emergency duties as listed in the vessel’s station billVision must be correctible to 20/40 with full color vision and no night blindness.
