Job Description

Performs all routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning on a timely basis. Includes high/low dusting, wall/ceiling/vent/lighting cleaning, cleaning of restroom facilities and floor care. Removes and transports trash and medical infectious waste. Moves furniture and other equipment. Will clean different areas up to and including: Emergency room, operating rooms, offices, public bathrooms, clinics, nurses stations, and exam rooms.

Work Environment

Locations: Kenosha Medical Center and St. Catherine's in Kenosha, WI. You will work with and/or near patients and hospital staff, with frequent exposure to medical infectious waste. The role involves frequent pushing, pulling, and transporting of heavy objects, equipment, and furniture, and requires continuous physical position changes to accommodate the cleaning of environmental surfaces. You will occasionally climb stepladders to clean light fixtures and vents, and to clean window and cubicle drapes. Frequent kneeling and stooping are needed to clean areas and items such as bathtubs, shower stalls, plumbing, stairs, baseboards, legs of furniture, wheels of furniture, wringing out wet mops, and removal of trash from containers. Constant repetitive hand/arm motions are required to damp wipe environmental surfaces, run buffers and scrubbers, vacuum, and mop. Occasionally, you may be exposed to exposed patient body parts.

This is a Contract position based out of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $17.00
