Housekeeper - Environmental Services

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in our Labor and Delivery Unit and Healthcare Facility, which is essential to ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas of the Labor and Delivery Unit.Follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols and proceduresCollect and dispose of waste, biohazardous waste and linensStock and maintain supplied in patient rooms and common areasRespond to requests for cleaning services from healthcare staffYou may operate heavy-duty equipment and use special cleaning equipment.
Qualifications
Housekeeping experience required utilizing basic housekeeping practices and procedures proper handling/disposal of infectious waste and proper safety skills in handling of housekeeping chemicalsAcute healthcare work experience involving the use of heavy equipment such as buffers extractors wide area vacuums and wet vacuums

This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
