User role(s) information systems access as assigned, where applicable. This position is classified as Essential Day 2 for emergency closure purposes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Perform daily housekeeping tasks as assigned. + Coordinate cleaning with nursing services in resident areas. + Clean, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures, windows, and floors. + Vacuum, deodorize, and disinfect carpets. + Dispose of trash and ensure proper waste management. + Report hazards and equipment issues to the Director of Housekeeping. + Maintain clean equipment and report light issues. + Follow cleaning schedules and assist with department projects. + Comply with fire safety protocols and assist with heavy lifting. + Ensure proper supply inventory and storage. + Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report accidents. + Respect client confidentiality and property. + Participate in training and attend departmental meetings. + Perform other duties as assigned. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: + Knowledge of hand washing, cleaning agents, and chemical mixing. + Ability to work independently and follow instructions. + Familiar with cleaning methods, materials, and equipment. + Knowledge of room cleaning, isolation, and decontamination. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: + Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare facility or hotel preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: + Regularly twist, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), kneel, reach, stoop, crawl, and climb stairs. + Active position requiring standing and walking all day. + Use hands to grasp or feel, with visual acuity for accuracy. + Work indoors and outdoors, exposed to fumes, odors, dust, and gases.
