As a Housekeeper at one of our Alaskan Facilities, this role involves maintaining a clean and sanitary environment within a seafood processing plant, adhering to strict hygiene and safety regulations. Responsibilities include cleaning production areas, restrooms, offices, and other designated spaces, using industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, sometimes cold and wet environment. Knowledge of food safety standards and experience with industrial cleaning is preferred.
Essential Functions/Qualifications
The responsibilities of the position include the following:
Cleans toilets, sinks, showers, floors and walls in bathrooms several times a day according to the schedule Empties trash Assists with cleaning of the galley and the breakroom area Does laundry for the crew: washing, drying and folding Checks names and laundry days on the laundry bags tags to make sure they are washed according to the laundry schedule Cleans rooms after they have been vacated Assists with related special projects as required Timely and regular attendance Ability to work under pressure Clean and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order. Report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel. Ability to maintain respectful professional relationships with other employees and service providers in a stressful environment Other duties as assigned to ensure the facility and organization is fully supported and successful.Competencies

Employee will be exposed to and work in cold and wet environments. Standing the entire time, while also making repetitive motions using hands, arms, legs and back, frequent rotations and twisting and bending at the waist, climbing and descending stairs, and occasionally sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
Working quickly and in teams of housekeepers and other employees while mentally focusing on the job the entire time.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
