Housekeeper - Housekeeping (Big Island, Part-Time, 20)
RESPONSIBILITIES **JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:** • Performs a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain assigned areas of Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital (QNHCH). • Performs duties in accordance with established QNHCH policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. **TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** • Essential: pushing and pulling up to 20 pounds of force, seeing, hearing, standing, walking, bending, stooping, forward and overhead reaching, grasping. • Frequent: pushing and pulling 25 to 50 pounds of force; lifting floor to knuckle, knuckle to shoulder 40 pounds; shoulder to overhead 20 pounds, talking, squatting, twisting, handling, fingering, and static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. • Occasional: pushing and pulling up to maximum 50 pounds of force, lifting floor to knuckle maximum 50 pounds of force, knuckle to shoulder 40 pounds, shoulder to overhead 20-25 pounds, sitting, running, climbing ladder and stair, side bending, crawling, kneeling, crouching. • Operates hand trucks, vacuum cleaners, mops, carts, wagons, dollies, carpet extractor, ladder scrubbing machine, stripping machine, waxing machine, mop handles, mop wringer. **TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:** • Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions. • May have some exposure to hazardous chemicals and materials, communicable diseases, and body fluids. • Work involves performing duties in a small, confined space, ability to negotiate stairs, ramps, and walking on uneven ground, and performing tasks sometimes in wet/slippery and hazardous conditions. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** **A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:** • High school diploma or equivalent education desirable. **B. EXPERIENCE:** • Prior experience as a housekeeper preferred. • Experience to demonstrate ability to speak, read, write and understand English both orally and in writing.
