Housekeeper - Peri-operative

An exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper is now available in our Perioperative Services Department. Our Perioperative Housekeeping team takes great pride in making sure that the patient environment is sanitary, comfortable, and safe. As a Housekeeper, you will have a significant impact on the quality of care delivered at UP Health System – Portage. Assignments will include all areas in the Perioperative Suite – ACU, Operating Suites, Endoscopy room, Sterile Processing areas and ancillary areas within the department. 


Required Skills:
•    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and technical journals.
•    Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form.
•    Ability to work independently.
•    Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.

Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years of surgical services housekeeping experience preferred
Annual influenza vaccination or declination required

Position Details:
0.9 FTE (full-time, 36 hours per week)
Monday - Thursday

Day/afternoon shifts
No holidays or weekends
Will work with other housekeeper in the department for vacation coverage of each other
