Pay Range
$17.50 - $20.50Purpose:
This position is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly workspace for all team members.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
One year of custodial experience and/or building maintenance preferredKnowledge of methods of maintaining, cleaning, and preserving a variety of surfacesProper and safe use of a wide range of chemicals according to state and federal regulationsHandling and disposing of hazardous materials and blood borne pathogens with care and in compliance with regulations/trainingsPossess essential physical and mental capabilities with; interpersonal skills, attention to detail, memory, following directions, comprehension, organization and innovationReading, writing, and speaking English preferredEssential Job Functions:
Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies in accordance with directionsSafely operate all job-related equipment (must have certification depending on type of equipment)Empty and clean waste baskets and trash containersRemove trash in accordance with established proceduresSweep and mop floorsClean and sanitize restrooms using established practices and proceduresClean fixtures and lights; polish as neededRefill restroom soap and hand sanitizer dispensersClean glass windows, doors, and mirrorsDust surfaces as requiredClean displays and hanging picturesClean entry floor matsReplenish paper towels in break rooms and restroomsReplenish toilet tissue in restroomsClean refrigerators, microwave, and toaster oven; polish as neededWipe down cabinets and countertops in break room/kitchen areasrespond to emergency calls for custodial assistanceMaintain cleaning supplies inventory and submit requests for supplies to managerReplenish air fresheners as neededOperate Floor Scrubber in warehouse areaReport unsafe conditions or broken equipment to managerComply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrityPerform additional relevant duties as assignedWorking Conditions (travel & environment)
While working the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles/equipment, as well as outdoor elements. The environment may have dust, dirt, and will have occasional exposure to the elements including but not limited to warm and cold temperatures, rain, snow, ice, and wind. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
Physical/sensory requirements
Physical work- ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is often required to see, listen, and communicate.
