**Position Summary:** Maintains standards established for general cleaning, which include mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, trash removal and changing linens. Documents assignments completion and safety hazards. Stocks supplies. Participates in staff and guest relations. Attends meetings. **Essential Functions and Responsibilities:** 1. Cleans room and changes linen in patient areas upon discharge 2. Dusts and scrubs patient rooms, ancillary areas, operating rooms, lounges 3. Cleans bath and shower area 4. Removes trash from building 5. Mops floors 6. Responds to emergency calls for unplanned clean-ups 7. Vacuums floors 8. Stocks clean and soiled utility rooms, isolation cupboards, carts and dispensers 9. Replenishes soap and paper supplies 10. Removes soiled linen from hampers 11. Cleans equipment and cart for following shift and restocks housekeeping closet 12. Completes daily work sheets, reports safety hazards and/or needed repairs 13. Cleans offices 14. Assists in training new staff 15. Performs other department related duties as assigned 16. Collects medical waste and pharmaceutical waste **Qualifications:** _Required:_ + Ability to read and write _Preferred:_ + Previous experience working in a healthcare Housekeeping Department.
