Job Description:
This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards.Scope
As an Environmental Services Aide / Housekeeper you need to know how to:
Clean and vacuum all floor surfaces- Dispose of all infectious and non-infectious waste- Clean patient rooms and common areas- Dust all areas both high and low- Stock supplies for cart and room as required- Demonstrate proficiency in the cleaning of beds and the Alaris IV Pumps- Demonstrate communication skills according to age of patient/visitor/customer- Give proper instructions to patients/visitor/customer relative to his/her age requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
