Housekeeping/Maintenance (Port Chester Corps) Job Locations US-NY-Port Chester Job ID 2025-13664 Category Maintenance Compensation Salary is $16.00/HR Type Regular Full-Time Responsibilities Will be responsible for the daily cleaning of the Corps. This entails removal of all trash, cleaning of all rest rooms, corridors, classrooms, offices, sanctuary, gym, Reception area and kitchen (including wash dishes) (entire building, parking lot and sidewalk).All Housekeeping/Maintenance and supply closets, classroom chapel, basement and lobby will also be kept clean and organized.Housekeeping/Maintenance sometimes will have Volunteers as help in the event there are extra tasks assigned as Administration directs.Housekeeping/Maintenance will be responsible for the notification to Administration of any changing of Light Bulbs, damage within the building, of any needs of supplies such as for Lavatories, Kitchen supplies or cleaning products.Outside windows clean, Corps grounds and parking lot should be neat at all times, in the event there is something that is too heavy and the employee cannot do, employee needs to notify Administration to request Volunteer help.Pantries should be kept up to par, products with current expiration dates, all supplies kept in presentable order, if there is any need for some type of item, and Administration should be made aware on a timely basis.Assist in maintaining Food Pantry; help in preparing food baskets as per the need of Social Services.Housekeeping/Maintenance should know what is needed in Kitchen, Rest rooms & Pantries and advise Administration of needs.Pantries should be organized and Food Boxes ready and accessible for Social Services.Moving or relocating anything in Corps should be consulted with Administration first for approval and direction.Other duties assigned by Officers and Administration as needed. Qualifications High School diploma or G. E. D.Good physical health. Able to follow through with assigned tasks.Familiarity with basic cleaning equipment.Able to work independently.Sensitive to Mission of The Salvation Army as both a Social Service agency and Church.
