Housekeeping Manager - New York Hilton Midtown

The New York Hilton Midtown is looking for a Housekeeping Manager to join our team.

It's all about location in NYC and New York Hilton Midtown places you right in the heart of the action. With over 1800 rooms, our property is within walking distance of a multitude of famous attractions, including Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, MOMA, and Broadway. Stop by the theater and transportation desk for tips, tickets, and travel in and around the city.

The ideal candidate will have more than 2 years of housekeeping management experience at a property of a similar size, full availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, OnQ experience, and experience managing a Local 6 unionized team.

Shift Pattern: Full availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays 

\n

Salary: $75,000 / annually

What will I be doing? 

\n

As a Housekeeping Manager, you would be responsible for the daily operations of housekeeping team.

\n

 

\n

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:      

\n\nTrain Housekeeping Team Members in proper work procedures and techniques. \nSupervise and monitor work performance of Team Members by conducting room inspections.\nResponsible for scheduling assignments for the team.\nCommunicates effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff. \nAssigns and instructs housekeeping staff. \nObserves performance and encourages improvement. \nAttend various operational related meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information.\nGreets customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome, uses a positive and clear speaking voice, listens to and understands requests, issues, and situations from both guests and Team Members.\nManages Housekeeping operations through times of stress, and emergencies, resolves guest concerns, and implements resolutions by using discretion and judgement.\nUses creative management skills to solve problems. Ensures compliance with Hilton standards to ensure consistent high quality guest relations.\nProvides coaching and counseling of Team Members and conducts performance reviews when needed. \nEncourages a team spirit amongst staff members with leadership and guidance.\n\n
