Job Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor helps oversee and manage the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, maintaining brand standards of service and cleanliness. You will report to the Hotel Housekeeping Manager/Shift Manager.
Start Rate: $19.00 p/h | Variable Shifts
Primary Tasks:
1. You will manage, inspect, and coordinate daily activities for the Housekeeping staff.
2. Establish supplies for the efficient operation of the department.
3. You will inspect all assigned areas to ensure furnishings, guest rooms/suites, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair to exceed brand standards. Advise associates of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide retraining. Full quality assurance responsibility of overall brand standard cleanliness for all hotel areas.
4. Document and report all areas that need maintenance work orders.
5. You will respond to guest complaints, and special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
6. Control expenses and minimize waste to operate within budgeted parameters within all areas of housekeeping.
7. You may perform all housekeeping department responsibilities necessary including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning guest rooms, and common areas, assisting with linen and terry soring, logistics, and stocking to ensure guest satisfaction.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes the uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.
· Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and basic repair.
· General knowledge of cleaning requirements in the hospitality industry.
· Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping experience.
