Explore. in the gateway to Glacier National Park! Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations, training, and motivation of our housekeeping and laundry staff. Ensure that our facility is clean and well maintained, and that all guests receive the highest quality of service. The Details: Position Type: Full-time, Year-Round Start Date: Immediately Pay: $18.25/hr + tips Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours; 5 days/week; 6-8 hours/day. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays. Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure all are properly cleaned and stocked to meet Lodge standards. Clean guest rooms, public areas and/or process laundry as needed. Ensure that all safety and sanitary regulations are followed. Report any unusual guest conduct to Location Manager or Manager on Duty. Ensure that Lost & Found and key security procedures are followed. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed, and work with Location Manager on disciplinary actions and reviews. Manage inventories of cleaning supplies, linens, and room essentials. Manage and assist in periodic deep cleaning and preventative maintenance. Respond to guest requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner communicate with the Location Manager and fellow department supervisors to ensure prompt resolution. Attend all required training and certifications. May be required to cross train in other departments. All other duties as assigned by the Location Manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1 or more year(s) previous supervisory experience in a housekeeping or hospitality setting preferred. Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques; Ecolab product knowledge preferred. Effective organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills required. Effective time management skills required. Must have the ability to organize a team to promote efficiency, and monitor progress and quality control. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic and courteous in dealing with guests and co-workers. Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Physical Requirements include: Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds as needed throughout the day. Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies and linens sporadically throughout the day. Making beds, bending, kneeling, stretching, and reaching as needed for up to 8 hours per shift. Standing for long periods of time, frequent walking up and down stairs, as well as in outdoor areas sporadically throughout the day. Pushing a hotel or laundry cart up to 50-75 pounds as needed.
