Housing Assistant
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Housing Assistant in SPRING VALLEY, New York. As a Housing Assistant, you will be primarily tasked with managing a variety of resident-related services in the real estate and property management industry. Responsibilities: • Handle incoming calls from residents regarding various concerns such as work orders, maintenance requests, and rent adjustments • Proactively manage and respond to resident inquiries and complaints in a detail oriented and timely manner • Assist in the processing of rent payments and lease documentation • Utilize various software tools, which will be introduced during training, to effectively carry out tasks • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of state guidelines relevant to property management and leasing • Exhibit strong customer service skills, especially when dealing with upset residents • Provide administrative support as needed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in Administrative Assistance is essential for this role. • Exceptional customer service skills are required to ensure a high level of tenant satisfaction. • Previous experience as a Leasing Consultant is highly desirable. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for liaising with various stakeholders. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, is needed. • Familiarity with housing regulations and laws is beneficial. • High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet. • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • A positive attitude and detail-oriented demeanor are required at all times. • Availability to work outside of regular office hours may be required. • A degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred.
