What you’ll do
The Housing Monitor is part of the Pioneer Human Services Housing team and will be providing supportive services that promote proactive social and independent living skills while employing effective business practices that support the success of the housing division. The Housing Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents, staff and visitors while providing quality services and structured programming designed to promote successful community living. The Housing Monitor is also responsible to serve as liaison with community resource agencies to coordinate needed services.

Primary/essential duties and responsibilities are but not limited to:

Communicates with residents, staff and visitors in a transitional housing setting, which the residents may be struggling with mental or physical health issues, substance abuse issues, cognitive or developmental disabilities, and/or behavioral difficulties.Completes IRS (Incident Reporting System) and reviews camera footage to investigate incident.Conducts building/Unit inspections.Records monthly building and unit inspections on the appropriate forms and data management systems.Issues rent receipts.Obtains resident signatures on packets (Bond and Property Tax Exempt).Prepares notices and post.Reviews maintenance request doing a physical check of the issue at hand and assessing for validity and priority; submit maintenance request based on findings. Completes resident leases or program agreement and all corresponding paperwork.Coordinates janitorial supply needs with Housekeeping Supervisor.Responds to after hour needs as needed.Maintains office hours according to a defined posted schedule to addresses resident issues and concerns.Responds to resident complaints and concerns in a timely manner.Works in cooperation with program staff to fill vacant units.Coordinates with the PHS Service and Maintenance Teams to ensure service and maintenance of units are conducted in a timely manner.Acts as a liaison with other property owners and businesses in the area.All other duties as assigned and required. What you’ll bring

High School Diploma or G.E.D.At least 6 months’ experience in human services, preferably working with homeless adults, the

economically disadvantaged, mentally ill or chemically dependent.

Current CPR/First AID Certification or within two months of hire.  Software and Equipment Used:  Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

 

 

Preferably you’ll bring

Knowledge of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).Previous experience with homeless and/or offender populations.College course work, or training in human services field.
