Location: Columbia, MO

Department: Adult Housing

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage individuals with disabilities or those in recovery to assist them in meeting their basic needs, including safe and affordable housing
- Actively assist clients in resolving housing crisis situations and serve as the internal expert on housing resources
- Collaborate with local Continuums of Care to identify individuals experiencing unstable housing and establish a network for supportive and stable housing
- Practice Housing First, harm reduction, and low-barrier service models
- Conduct outreach to households experiencing a housing crisis or homelessness
- Refer and/or transport individuals to services for behavioral health, substance use, physical health, employment, etc.
- Build and strengthen relationships with local landlords, providing education on community programs and referrals
- Connect with referrals from Continuum of Care programs to assist individuals with housing stability
- Assist in applying for benefits utilizing SOAR training
- Participate in state-wide Housing Liaison training and complete timely data collection and entry

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or relevant case management experience in housing; or
- Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support; or
- Qualified to provide Community Support as defined in relevant regulations, including mental health professionals or persons with relevant degrees and experience
- Exceptional knowledge and skill in supportive housing
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively
