Housing Specialist
The housing specialist works with other team members to determine program eligibility, support applicant's successful completion of applications, complete the lease-up or recertification process, explain complex program requirements so they can be understood by clientele, and perform other duties required to administer the various housing programs.

Temp-to-Hire position$20.00 /hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)Read, understand, and consistently comply with program regulations, policies, and proceduresConsistently work to achieve organizational objectivesConsistently work to achieve full utilization of federal resources to house clienteleEstablish and maintain productive work relationships with community-based organizations, staff, landlords, and the general publicSend correspondence to program participants and landlordsSchedule appointments and conduct meetings • Accurately and completely maintain caseload files • Other duties assignedHousing Specialist Qualifications:
Knowledge of HUD Section 8 and Public Housing Regulations preferredComply with regulations and policies and apply them to real-life situationsConsistently pay attention to details while achieving agency objectivesCommunicate concisely and effectively in writing and verballyManage time, organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced work environmentAccurately perform basic math calculationsEfficiently operate computers and software programsConsistently strive for excellent performanceWorks to develop additional job and technical knowledgeApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
