Description
We are searching for a 3+ year (mid-level) Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney for our boutique Texas law firm to be based in their Houston, Texas or Beaumont, Texas offices, with some remote capability. This role involves handling first-party and liability insurance coverage claims and cases, as well as providing legal advice to clients. The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting legal research and analysis, briefing coverage issues, and drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Responsibilities:
• Handle first-party and liability insurance coverage claims and cases efficiently.
• Provide legal advice to clients, ensuring they understand their insurance coverage.
• Conduct detailed legal research and analysis to support client cases.
• Draft comprehensive coverage opinions to inform clients about their insurance coverage.
• Craft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and accuracy.
• Represent clients in mediations and other legal proceedings as required.
• Stay current with changes in insurance laws and regulations.
• Utilize MS365 software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel proficiently.
• Manage a high-volume caseload, ensuring all cases are handled in a timely manner.
• Utilize case management software for efficient tracking and handling of cases.
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of insurance policies and coverage issues.
Requirements
• Must be located in or willing to relocate to Houston / Beaumont area and actively licensed to practice law in Texas
• A minimum of three years of experience as an Insurance Coverage Attorney
• Must be proficient with 3M, Adobe Acrobat, and Case Management Software
• Ability to draft and present briefings effectively
• Experience in Civil Litigation, Claim Administration, and Complaint Handling
• Must have experience dealing with Insurance Claims and Insurance Law
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must have a professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Must have a law degree from an accredited law school and be an active member in good standing of the bar
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
