WORKING CONDITIONS The position requires lifting of heavy items of up to 60 pounds and/or walking on rough surfaces routinely and/or regular physical exertion such as climbing of ladders. This is a Department of Public Works & Engineering Emergency Management position at the Tier 1 Level. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Requires a high school diploma or a GED certificate. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS No experience is required. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Requires a valid Texas driver's license and compliance with the City of Houston's policy on driving. Requires a valid Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Class "D" Water/Wastewater Operator's certificate within twelve (12) months from entry into this classification. Within Twenty-four (24) months after either obtaining the Class D certification or entry into this classification, a TCEQ Class "C" Water/Wastewater Operator's certificate must be obtained.
