Sales Manager – HPC Works Software and Appliance for India
The primary responsibility of this position is to identify, manage and close opportunities for Altair’s HPCWorks Software Portfolio and Appliances in India. Consistent achievement of individual sales quota(s) and company sales objectives is expected. The emphasis is placed on software license and subscription sales into new and existing accounts, along with professional services. This is a sales position that requires both strong online and direct face-to-face sales skills. The position will require growing and managing existing customer relationships as well as developing new major accounts for HPC Suite of Software’s. This position will assist management in devising effective sales plans and strategies and will operate under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.

Develops long term sales pipeline to increase the Altair’s market share in specialized area of HPC Software and Appliances. Use specialty expertise to seek out new opportunities for customer value by expanding and enhancing existing opportunities to build the pipeline in and drive pursuit in specialty area.Provide support to the Account managers of Altair’s identified Verticals and Territory accounts.Set direction for business development and solution replication at other customer.Creates and grows reference customers.Sell complex solutions to customers on a partnership basis.Act as a dedicated resource to a strategic account.Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with the client, including the C- level for mid-to-large accounts by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry.Maintain and use overall cross-portfolio knowledge to support account leads with integration of solutions.Contribute to enduring executive relationships that establish the company's consultative professionalism and promote its total solution capabilities.Maintains broad market and competitor knowledge to ensure credibility with Customer Executives.Consistent and effective internal/external communication. Keeps customers updated on company direction and product development. Relays customer feedback to the company for marketing and product enhancement consideration.Key Sales Metrics

Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.10+ years Enterprise Sales experience with demonstrable success selling complex Business Process Management, Business Intelligence, Visualization or Business Analytics software solutions.An understanding of industry trends and relevant business drivers.Candidates must demonstrate history of consistent sales quota achievement.Excellent knowledge of company's products/services and pricing practices.Proven selling skillsEffective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.Highly motivated self starterCommercial & market awarenessBoth Direct and Channel Sales Experience preferred
