Nightwing is seeking a candidate with subject matter expertise (SME) an extensive background in the High-Performance Computing (HPC) Systems Engineer. The overall responsibility to work within a team of intelligence professionals providing cutting edge engineering in support of the customer's critical mission. The HPC Engineer will be involved in various factors with regards to HPC reverse engineering and knowledge with intrusive engineering for foreign adversary High Performance Computing Systems (HPC) abroad. All of the below is critical to the success of the customer and the NightWing mission at large. The candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced customer environment supporting high profile operational requirements. This individual will assist the organization with specific knowledge and understanding of testing and integration of systems to support current technical operations. The successful candidate must have experience working within teaming environments across the customers spectrum. In addition, the candidate must also manage partner and stakeholder relationships while operating independently with minimal supervision. Extensive Experience in leading large, successful operations in a highly matrixed compartmented organization

This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen with a TS/SCI w/Poly clearance upon submission of the resume to this position.

Responsibilities:

Must be willing to travel to vendor sites and the National Labs for conference and or special events.

Working in secure enclaves and open computing environments on a wide variety of applied areas.

Conducting task independently and communicate effectively to team members and customer stakeholders.

REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience performed within a complex system with the interest to the U.S. Government and shareholder communities.

Strong Knowledge and experience with High Performance Computing concepts to include cluster architecture file system, and high-speed infiniBand interconnections, experience in HPC technologies such as parallel/distribution file systems (e.g., Lustre, GPFS) along with HPC along with batch schedule software (e.g., PBSPro, SLURM)

Knowledge and experience with application/infrastructure deployment and support in one or more of the major cloud environments

Ability to brief management on progress and findings associated to the mission needs.

Works closely with operational elements executing specific missions, with a particular reference to building partnerships with operational organizations and teams.

Strong Linux (PHEL, CentOS) proficiency.

Experience using the Linux CLI

Developing scripts using Bash | Python.

Demonstrated ability to provision and configure HPC environments and components to include job scheduling multi-user login environments, and cluster management software (Bright, OpenHPC, Warewulf, etc.)

Experience with systems monitoring tools such as Nagios

Strong understanding and experience with systems automation tools (Ansible, Salt, Puppet)

Ability to analyze and optimize system performance in high performance computer networks

Test tools such as Postman, Selenium, Git, Junit, Cypress, Parasoft Selenic, Katabon, Mabo, TestIM, Functionize, Perfacto, TestCraft, Squish, AutonomIQ

Experience with CI/CD strategies and GIT Source Control system

Assisting in preparation of documentation and dissemination of research results to the organization

Experience working with information security and targeting teams to ensure cybersecurity compliance of multi-user systems

Experience with Nvidia CUDA libraries and GPUs

Experience with global and parallel file systems, such as BeeGFS

Education:

Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline {Science, Technology, Engineering, Math} such as Electrical Computer Engineering. Computer Science, Physics, or a similar technical discipline with 9 plus years with a master's degree, or 4 years with a PHD.

Desired Qualification:

IAT Level 1 Certification Required

The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
