Position Summary
This is a professional position located in State Office Human Resources and is responsible for independently providing administrative support to the Director of Human Resources, performing various essential human resource duties, which require comprehensive knowledge of office and Agency policies, procedures, goals, and programs. Show initiative and take action beyond what is required to improve work product; self-start and complete assignments independently without constant supervision.
The Work You Will Do
Supports and performs administrative duties and schedule management for the Director of Human Resources. Assists with coordinating travel arrangements for the Director of Human Resources and other HR staff.
Performs a variety of complex office administrative support functions requiring independent judgment, research, and collection of information/data utilizing standard office equipment, electronic platforms, and database systems.
Serves as the Axiom Pro Administrative Support and responsible for maintaining and retaining the official personnel files for State Office and Regional employees. Creates personnel files in the Agency’s electronic file system, scans, uploads, and indexes documents. Requests files from the archive center.
Responsible for routing and tracking designated HR Policies and Operating Procedures.
Gathers, compiles, and records statistical data, written reports, and other information, reviewing and verifying for accuracy and completeness.
Serves as the initial point of contact for HR, manages phone lines, monitors the HR portal, responds to tickets, and uses other platforms as needed.
Processes outside employment form Agencywide.
Performs purchasing functions in My Florida Market Place (MFMP).
Assists with disaster recovery efforts and emergency needs.
Performs other general administrative tasks and/or special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid driver’s license or other efficient means of transportation.
Must have customer service and administrative assistant experience within a professional office setting.
Must have experience working in Human Resources.
High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Direct Deposit Program
As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.
Background Screening Requirement
It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
