The HR Adviser position will be based in Veldhoven, the Netherlands and the successful candidate will provide professional HR service and support to our HID employees. The role as HR Adviser will be far from one-dimensional and the successful candidate will undertake a wide range of HR duties and manage the entire employee lifecycle, such as employee onboarding and offboarding processes, coordinating learning and development activities, drafting and updating HR policies. Being the main point of contact for employee queries on HR related topics, provide legal guidance and advice and manage and participate in HR projects. Along with working closely with our HR centres of excellence such as Talent Acquisition, Learning & Talent Development and our HR Systems Coordinator to ensure the HR department operations are running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.

As our HR Adviser, you’ll support HID’s success by:
Onboarding and Offboarding Processes:
Working closely with our internal Talent Acquisition team to recruit for open positions and attract key talent to our business. Working closely and in collaboration with the HR Coordinator and HR Systems Coordinator in managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes. Conducting colleague and manager onboarding training. Managing the employee offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews as required.
Employee Relations:
Reviewing and updating HR policies in line with changes in legislation and corporate HR strategy. Advising managers with the application of HR policies and procedures to ensure internal and external compliance. Managing disciplinary, grievance, performance improvement and redundancy processes. Managing employee absenteeism in accordance with local policy. Managing employee engagement activities including employee surveys, recognition programmes, cultural development and corporate social responsibility activities. Coordinating EAP programmes.
Training and Development:
Acting as an adviser who builds organizational capabilities and partners with internal stakeholders to maximize team performance. Managing the implementation of employee development and career plans to support talent optimisation, succession planning and employee retention. Working closely with managers to conduct training and development needs analysis and coordinate development initiatives. Updating training records and systems.
Compensation and Benefits:
Providing HR support for the annual performance review, merit increase, bonus and goal setting cycle. Managing HR reporting for payroll purposes.
HR Administration
Supporting the development and update of HR documentation such as policies and employee handbooks. Developing and reviewing employee contracts, job descriptions and HR documentation. Ensuring all employee files are updated with any changes and relevant parties are informed. Managing monthly HR reporting, dashboards, headcount reporting, training reports and turnover reports. Working closely with our HR Systems Coordinator to update and manage the HRIS systems. Working closely with the Payroll team to ensure correct salary payments are paid to employees. Maintaining employee personnel files.
General
Taking part and leading HR projects as required. Attending HID HR and Assa Abloy HR training as required. Working closely with the wider European, US, MEA and APAC People Partnering teams and global HR centres of excellence. Attending global and regional HR meetings.
What we will love about your background:
Ability to effectively communicate in the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc. Familiar with using HRIS systems, SAP SuccessFactors and ADP would be an advantage.
Your Experience and Education include:
University Degree ideally in Human Resource Management or equivalent subject. 1-3 years’ experience in a Human Resources Officer or Adviser position. Good working knowledge of Dutch Employment Law and its practical application. Experience of working with Dutch Works Councils. Experienced in working on own initiative and in a fast-paced environment.
