Your role and responsibilitiesReporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, the HR Advisor will serve as the primary contact for HR day-to-day operational processes and employee lifecycle management. While recruitment, benefits, and payroll administration are managed by specialized teams, the HR Advisor will provide collaboration and support where needed. Additionally, they will provide Executive Administrative support to the General Manager of Motion by managing scheduling, travel coordination, and expense reporting.Executive Administrative Support to the General Manager of Motion•\tCoordinate and manage travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation.•\tSubmit expense reports and ensure timely reimbursement.•\tOrganize and coordinate events, meetings, and conferences.•\tProvide general administrative support as needed.Employee Lifecycle Management•\tActs as first point of contact for all employee related questions, escalating as required.•\tManage all aspects of employee movements, including promotions, transfers, resignations, and exit interviews.•\tOversee and coordinate employee-related administrative processes in partnership with the HR Operations team.•\tAct as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, leave requests, and approvals, including coordination with STD/LTD and CNESST.•\tEnsure accuracy of employee records and timely updates in HRIS systems, partnering with HR Operations for execution.•\tSupport onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth and positive experiences for employees.Performance Management•\tGuide managers through addressing underperformance, including developing and monitoring Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs). •\tSupport timely completion of performance reviews and ongoing feedback processes. •\tTrack PIP progress, ensuring consistency, fairness, and follow-through on outcomes.Employee Engagement and Well-being•\tSupport employee engagement initiatives, including survey rollouts, action planning, and team-building activities. •\tChampion well-being programs focusing on employees’ mental, physical, and emotional health.•\tSupport with leaders with identifying areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance employee satisfaction.Employee Relations•\tSupport as needed for employee relations issues, supporting managers in resolving conflicts and ensuring compliance with company policies. •\tPartner with managers to address and document disciplinary actions and workplace concerns appropriately. •\tEscalate complex employee relations cases as necessary, ensuring resolution is timely and aligned with company values and processesCollaboration with Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and Payroll/Benefits Teams•\tCoordinate with the Talent Acquisition team to interview and conduct preliminary proposal for HRBP to approve compensation benchmarking during offer processes.•\tCollaborate with HR Operations to resolve issues related to benefits, payroll, and HRIS updates.•\tSupport process improvements and efficiencies across HR operational functions.•\tAssist in special HR projects, including but not limited to, HRIS system implementations such as Workday.
Qualifications for the roleEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR operations or generalist roles.Bilingual in French and English (as this role will support all Canadian employees in the Motion business). Strong understanding of HR processes, employment laws, and compliance.Experience managing performance management processes, including PIPs.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels.Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems (e.g., Workday), and administrative tasks such as scheduling and expense reporting.High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism in managing sensitive matters.
