Description We are offering a contract for a Payroll Administrator position in WATERVLIET, New York. This role is primarily within the construction industry where the individual will be entrusted with tasks that involve processing payroll and managing HR platforms. Responsibilities • Handling payroll calculations and preserving accurate records. • Conducting weekly payroll processing for office and field staff. • Assisting with various HR tasks and maintaining employee handbooks and manuals. • Using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams) for scheduling, reporting, and tracking. • Coordinating and managing onboarding through HR platforms like GoCo. • Ensuring compliance with OSHA and overseeing safety training sessions. • Managing accident reporting and tracking benefit functions. • Posting job vacancies, organizing interviews, and coordinating materials for supervisors. • Overseeing accounting functions related to payroll and benefits. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions is necessary. • Ability to manage Benefit Functions effectively. • Must have a strong understanding of Environmental Safety regulations. • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines is required. • Experience in employee Onboarding and training procedures. • Proven skills in Employee Training are necessary. • Demonstrable expertise in Benefits Payroll management. • Must have knowledge in handling Payroll - Garnishments. • Understanding of Payroll - Union is required. • Familiarity with Prevailing Wage laws is necessary.
