We are hiring a Human Resources (HR) Assistant who will be responsible for receptionist duties in the HR main office, including answering telephones and greeting visitors to the department. This individual also coordinates new hire processing, enters new applicant data into the HRIS, assists in-office procedures, and provides administrative support to the HR Director and HR Manager as needed.

How you will make an impact:

Greets visitors in the Human Resources OfficeAnswers telephone calls and assists with general inquiries; re-directs calls to other HR staff for more specific information.Provide clerical support by typing letters, memos, forms, spreadsheets, etc.Responds to telephone and written employment inquiriesProcesses new employees according to processing schedule and guidelinesOrders and maintains office supplies.Sorts and distributes office mail.Maintains employee personnel filesOrders and distributes monthly bus passes.Posts internal vacancies on a weekly basisMaintains job information hotlineSends out monthly training noticesScans new employee paperwork to the employee electronic filePrepares Identification badges for employees, interns, and volunteersMaintains employee Referral Award program by keeping a database of employees paid, the date, and the amount of payout.Maintains file of current Organizational ChartsConducts new employee drug screening and background checks

What you will need:

High school diploma or GED required.College degree in related field preferred.Previous experience in HR preferred.Must have excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, flexibility, and be able to multi-task.Must have strong computer skills, including MS Office.
