HR Assistant
**Description** **Responsibilities:** + Assist visitors when they come to the hiring office to inquire about job opportunities. + Focal point for the HR Coordinators in assisting with starting the on-boarding process for employees. + Contact the employee to make them aware they are on a labor requisition, what their role is, shift and hourly rate. + Obtain the basic information from the employee (e-mail address, phone number and copy of driver’s license or state issued identification card. + Find out their location and when the employee can take their drug screen and required safety council classes. + Generate an on-boarding event. + Assist HR Coordinators with the remainder of the on-boarding process. + Verify the required drug screen, background check and safety council classes for each employee. + Schedule employees for drug screen, background and safety council classes; communicate that to them. + Follow up on drug screen / background and safety council classes to verify completion and document in echart + Maintain an accurate electronic filing system for on-boarding documents. + Serve as a point of contact, providing smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their inquiries related to their on-boarding process. + Willing and capable of working overtime as required; after hours/weekends. **Skills:** + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Strong interpersonal skills + Ability to work successfully in a team environment + Familiarity with Excel + Effective organizational and time management skills + Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple tasks + Discretion and the ability to keep data confidential
