Our Barnesville, GA location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our Human Relations group. Coordination of Administrative Support for the Aldora Mills/Barnesville HR Department. The position requires interaction with all levels of management and staff, and the ability to responsibly handle sensitive and confidential information. Provides clerical and administrative support to all functional areas within Human Resources. Capable of handling more complex aspect of HR duties; requires more in-depth knowledge of HR programs, company policies, and administrative procedures. Answers more complex employee questions.
**Essential Functions:**
**ADMINISTRATIVE:**
+ Greet all visitors to the plant, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations and/or notify the department.
+ Assist with visitor safety training, HR trainings, and documentation
+ Maintain files – personnel, safety, medical, etc.- & new hire checklist
+ Answer, screen, and forward phone calls.
+ Plan and coordinate various meetings and initiatives in the plant - service awards, holiday meals, employee meetings, etc.
+ Provide general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, arranging meetings, processing confidential reports and documents, tracking deadlines, filing, etc.
+ Assist in maintenance of employee directory and company organization charts.
+ Assist with Marketing and Communication activities and initiatives.
+ FMLA Coordination
+ Support Basics Live Coordination
+ Assist with hourly hiring, phone screenings and interviewing. Also develop marketing strategies to attract candidates.
**NEW HIRE PAPERWORK:**
+ Compile new hire packets and support onboarding of newly hired employees.
+ Support the new hire process by calling employees to be hired and giving them new hire paperwork, in addition to helping employees through the application process.
+ Handle background checks & employee drug screens; monitor and report results. Make personnel files for new employees.
+ Assist with completing I9 verification and I9 re-verifications.
+ Perform other duties as directed by the Plant Manager or HR Manager
**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE**
+ High School Diploma
+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
