Job Description

The purpose of this job is to provide human resource (HR) services to all company team members within assigned areas.

Serve as subject matter expert on all human resource (HR) related issues Serve as key decision maker on all HR projects while partnering with associated departments Assess and anticipate HR related needs across the organization as a whole and develop integrated solutions Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies that eliminate or minimize risk and improve culture Manage and resolve employee relations issues including conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations Communicate with leaderships to ensure consistency in the execution of HR initiatives including all aspects of discipline Partner with Legal and other HR groups to ensure the effective delivery of HR support and services Direct compliance of federal, state, provincial, and company HR policies and regulations (e.g., Wage and Hour, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO) Partner with leadership to influence, implement, and monitor shortterm and long-term strategies for creating a rewarding and ethical culture Assist leadership with staffing strategy, conduct interviews, and provide hiring recommendations and approval Coach and guide business leaders on all aspects of team member and labor relations Conduct talent assessments and create detailed succession and development plans Complete other duties as assigned 

 

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business administration or human resources management required Minimum five years’ experience in employee relations, talent management and talent acquisition requiredTransportation industry experience preferredProfessional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred Intermediate Microsoft Office skills Interpersonal and relationship building skills Strong decision making, problem solving, and judgment skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to remain objective and use tact to resolve team member issues Ability to think strategically Internal networking and teamwork Ability to courageously negotiate, influence others and challenge assumptions Team building skills Demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior
