THE POSITION:
At The Shade Store, a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with the needs of their assigned teams to deliver impactful talent solutions. This role will support the Production organization and related teams in our Pompano Beach, Florida locations, working with both hourly and salaried employee populations. The person in this position will serve as a thought leader and change agent for HR best practices, building trust with leaders and employees in a way that encourages a high-performance culture and a highly engaged team. This role requires a people-first mindset, with the ability to work cross-functionally with partners on the HR, Finance, and Legal teams to achieve business goals and manage risk.

Strategic Business Partnership & Organizational Evolution
Team Member Relations & Engagement
Create a culture that fosters a high level of employee trust through an open-door policy and two-way communication. Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related inquiries and issues. Act as a consultant to management on HR-related issues and provide guidance on policy interpretation and risk mitigation. Provide real time and ongoing coaching and advice to senior leaders and their teams, including effective performance management techniques. Mediate and resolve employee disputes, fostering a positive, productive, and harassment-free work environment. Manage complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and providing appropriate resolutions.Operations & Compliance
Manage risk by ensuring HR policies and practices are consistent and in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Conduct audits and assessments to identify potential HR-related risks and develop mitigation strategies. Collaborate with HR peers to ensure that compensation practices are competitive and equitable. Provide guidance to management on compensation strategies, including salary reviews, promotions, and incentives. Develop and analyze HR metrics and trends to inform strategic decision-making and improve HR processes. Prepare and present reports on HR activities, trends, and metrics to senior leadership. Utilize data to drive insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
YOUR EXPERTISE:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is preferred. 7+ years of experience in HR roles, with at least 3 years as an HR Business Partner or similar role covering hourly populations. Experience with manufacturing businesses is a plus. Talented communicator who is approachable to employees at all levels, with demonstrated experience supporting senior leadership (Senior Director and above). Deep understanding of HR principles and best practices with a strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Operational savvy with a proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Proven planning, priority setting, and time management skills, with an ability to manage trade-offs between short- and long-term goals and plans. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
