Provides general expertise to management on all areas of HR, or may be responsible for select functions within HR including employment, planning, and development. May also be responsible for training and new employee orientation. Duties may include promotion of good employee relations, development of training, safety, and health programs.

Position Title: Human Resources Business Partner

Location: Onsite – Cannon Falls, MN

Reports to: Senior Human Resources Manager

Exemption: Exempt position

The Human Resources Business Partner is a trusted advisor within the business unit to all levels, providing a high level of professional aptitude to support the business unit while aligned with the overall Retail Solutions Group strategy. In partnership with the business unit leadership the Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic guidance on people and organizational issues as well as implementing human resources programs and providing human resources services within the business unit. In partnership with Corporate and HR COEs, the Human Resources Business Partner will own and provide leadership and oversight in areas including talent acquisition, employee retention, compensation and benefits, HRCM/records management, learning and development, talent management and succession planning, employee relations, investigations, and ensuring compliance.  

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of business unit goals and provide strategic, tactical alignment of HR actions, support, programs, and resources adapting as needed to achieve desired results in both the US and EU.  Maintain strong relationships with all business unit leaders and a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively support each business discipline.Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategies and execution; providing data driven insight to guide decisions and delivering effective and relevant solutions in areas such as career planning, performance management, employee coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, and strategic development.Work closely with all the group HR team to develop consistent HR strategies and solutions across all Retail Solutions group businesses.Partner with Senior Human Resources Manager on any research, planning and analysis phases of creating solutions to complex problems to ensure alignment and anticipation of HR needs within and across business units.Provide recommendations and consult with business leaders to integrate HR best practices into the business and provide implementation strategies, support and tools as needed for effective execution.Partner with Marmon and HR COEs to roll out enterprise-wide HR policies and programs, offer input/feedback as well as consultation to tailor appropriate communications. Provide leadership through any coordinated implementation approaches as applicable.Partner with Group Talent Acquisition Manager and business unit leaders to influence recruitment and selection process. Guide leaders in utilizing prescribed interviewing and selection tools to make solid, long-term hiring decisions.Guide leaders on retaining top talent, improving individual performance, and efficiently developing talent within the organization.Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, identifying, and reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.Direct and train managers and employees on the execution of legally compliant HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across the organization.Conduct timely employee investigations and prepare accurate, comprehensive documentation. Coach managers and employees regarding conflict resolution and performance management. Identify issues that require escalation as soon as possible.Successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.Be able to operate with autonomy and discretion. Recognize when to delegate and when to leverage partnerships.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sr. Human Resources role; or 10 years of Human Resources with at least 5 years in a leadership role.HR certification strongly preferred: SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP or SPHRDemonstrated experience in HR functional areas: recruitment, compensation, employee relations, management coaching, & organizational development, HR industry applicable laws and regulations including broad-based knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
