HR Business Partner

As an HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving organizational success by partnering with our field leadership at a strategic business level. Reporting to the HR Director, you will proactively collaborate with business leaders on various people-related strategies and decisions, including but not limited to talent acquisition, organizational design, compensation, talent development, engagement, performance management, and complex employee relations matters. Your insights and recommendations will be instrumental in shaping HR initiatives and ensuring alignment with business objectives. Additionally, you will act as a change agent, facilitating the transformation of the business to deliver world-class customer and employee experiences. 

The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with a strategic mindset, demonstrating excellent people skills and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with associates and leaders across all levels.  

*This role is hybrid; however, candidates must be based out of IL region for some expected travel to Chicagoland offices as needed.

What You'll Do:

Builds the business partner relationship with senior leaders, dealership management, and teams; understands the business, goals, and challenges; and identifies and develops solutions to address opportunities.  

Supports HR Director on complex initiatives including but not limited to, employee retention and engagement, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.  

Collaborates with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure seamless delivery of HR processes and programs. 

Assists in new store openings and acquisitions by coordinating with field leadership and executing workforce and training plans. 

Conducts field visits to gather insights, facilitate training, and provides consultation to leaders on HR policies and procedures. 

Provides analysis on the "health" of assigned business groups, analyzing performance trends, employee satisfaction, attrition, etc. Recommends innovative approaches and procedures, driving a culture of continuous improvement. 

Supports employee relations team in investigations and complex employee relations issues and recommends/implements courses of action based on investigation results. 

Co-leads or leads HR projects by managing project efforts and deliverables. Performs other duties as needed.

What You'll Need to Have for the Role:

A bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or equivalent experience is required. 

4+ years of HR Generalist experience in roles of progressively increasing scope.  

Experience in high-growth organizations with geographically dispersed multi-site locations.  

Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion. 

Strong business acumen with competency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, PowerBi, etc.) 

Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, statutes, etc. which govern employment policies and practices. 

PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus. 

Experience with Workday is a plus. 

 

Physical Requirements 

Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.

Able to lift 15 pounds at times. 

Approximately 25% travel required.  

Pay Range:

$89,565.00-$134,295.00 Annual
