HR Business Partner

Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a key role in overseeing and supporting multiple facets within the designated region. This encompasses a range of functional areas, including but not limited to employee relations, performance management, team member retention, team member engagement, team member development, onboarding, and orientation. In this capacity, the individual in this role is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service to both people leaders and team members by offering comprehensive HR support.

Essential Job Functions:

Manage and consistently enforce HR related policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives for designated region.

Serve as HR expert within region by providing guidance to people leaders on various aspects of employment law and best practices.

Partner with people leaders to execute strategies for employee relations, engagement communications, change management, team member retention, etc.

Advise and guide people leaders on conducting essential performance reviews for team members, offering necessary tools and resources to facilitate the process.

Advise people leaders on performance management, including partnering to develop and enforce appropriate corrective action as necessary.

Manage employee relations cases, including team member investigations, documenting effectively and implementing follow-up plan and sustained resolution.

Deliver people and culture metrics to people leaders, interpreting the information to aid in the development of strategies and action plans.

Oversee process to ensure annual employee engagement survey and focus groups are conducted. Work with local leadership to ensure action plans are developed based on feedback collected.

Travel and visit sites within designated region on a regular basis.

May supervise up to one (1) Human Resources Associate in designated region.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Considerable knowledge in principles and practices of administration.

Thorough knowledge of rules, regulations, best practices, and laws affecting the agencies, Team members, and/or records management.

Skilled in effective communication with diverse workforce.

Capable of analyzing information to make decisions on relative costs to the Team Member and organization.

Proficient in common word processing, spreadsheet, database, and web based

applications.

Ability to multitask and remain highly organized, developing effective organizational

systems as needed.

Ability to work with information in a confidential manner.

Ability and willingness to travel and visit sites within designated region.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent certificate is required.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or closely related field is highly preferred.

Minimum of two (2) years experience in Human Resources is preferred.

Supervisory Requirements:

Communicate the strategic direction of the organization and encourage participation by all team members.

Provide leadership and guidance to all aspects of the department.

Take an active role in monitoring the identification, development, and execution of strategic objectives.

Involve, as appropriate, all team members to achieve goals.

Effectively communicate to team members any changes and newsworthy events within the department or company.

Handle difficult team member situations directly, using appropriate discretion and Human Resource advice to show respect for the individual

Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.

Reinforces team approach throughout functions; support and solicit input from team members at all levels within the company.

Employment Requirements:

Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.

Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.

All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.

Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.

Physical Requirements:

ADA Consideration - Sedentary work:  Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
