Overview Act as a strategic business partner, employee champion and organizational change agent for assigned employee group(s). Implement employee strategies, assess and anticipate business needs and carry out center of expertise initiatives to achieve goals. Identify organizational challenges and contribute to innovative solutions to support and execute against the organization’s business and human capital strategy. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Bachelor’s Degree and 4 to 6 years of progressive human resources and/or organizational development experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT Project management experience is preferred. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should know Microsoft Office Software and Internet Software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certifications preferred. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Effective written, communication, presentation and computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Fundamental business acumen. Working knowledge of HR principles and processes. Working knowledge of management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources. Excellent collaboration skills including informing and the ability to flex to support broader business and HR teams, as needed. Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and planning skills. Ability to use data to identify opportunities and/or create solutions. Ability to advise business leaders and employees including the ability to build trusting relationships. Ability to produce results. Ability to identify alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Ability to set priorities and work in a group environment or independently. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel.; reach with hands and arms; The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
