The Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for implementing defined initiatives and initiating local action based on global guidelines and policies. The goal is to ensure compliance with processes and guidelines, and proactively support People Managers so that they effectively perform their leadership role (e.g. Performance Management, Talent Management, Workforce Planning). The Human Resources Business Partner will also ensure compliance to Labor Law.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
Advise managers in HR-related topics in compliance with HR policies and guidelines
Support, guide and coach managers in performance management, training needs definition, identification and fostering of high-potentials, succession and career planning (including the facilitation of talent conferences), and Talent Acquisition (including selection process);
Design and/or roll-out of various People initiatives
Initiate and support employee engagement initiatives, taking into account local specifics to support, foster and strengthen a positive company culture
Support in analysing data from employee Pulse Check survey, and generate ideas and proposals for effective HR-led initiatives
Facilitation of workshops for managers and employees
Advise and support business in local workforce planning, anticipate/evaluate and coordinate local recruiting needs
Discuss pay strategy, conduct job evaluation with functional Heads for newly-created roles, with support from Centers of Expertises; analyze data from salary survey, provide insights to line managers for decision making
Work together with HR Service Partner and employee representatives to define and initiate updates to the working regulations and Employee Handbook
Support reorganizations
Design and implement retention programs according to local needs in line with guidance from global Centres of Expertise
Support the exit management process (e.g. conduct exit interviews)
Ensure compliance to Labor Law
Qualification & Skills:
Minimum
Academic degree
3-5 years of experience in any Human Resources discipline (e.g. HR Business Partnering, HR Generalist, Talent Acquisition or Learning & Development) in any industry
Native-level Japanese, and upper-intermediate (or above) written and spoken English
Strong team player with excellent communication skills across all levels and functions, including presentation skills
Business sense, open-minded, logical, self-motivated, energetic, results oriented, skilful in managing multiple tasks, a learning mindset and the ability to work under high pressure
Experience with any HR Information System
Experience with MS O365 applications
Experience in analysing and using data to support decision-making
Ideal
Academic degree in a business-related field or Human Resources
Native-level in both Japanese and English
Experience leading or managing a team
Basic knowledge of Workday (HR Information System)
Experience of internal workshop facilitation
