Summary
As a strategic partner, the HR Business Partner aligns business objectives with employees and management at the Lyons, KS manufacturing facilities and serves as a consultant to the local management teams on Human Resource related issues. The successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent, assess, and anticipate HR-related needs, communicate needs proactively and work in collaboration with corporate HR, and seek to develop integrated solutions. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR functions to deliver value added service to local management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the facilities’ financial positions, their short to mid-range plans, their cultures, and the competition.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Provide HR leadership for Lyons, KS facilities.Assist employees with questions regarding benefits, time and attendance, and HR policies and procedures.Consult with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate.Actively participate in the local grievance process for each unionized facility.Participate in collective bargaining negotiations as a member of the collective bargaining team.Drive collaborative labor relations at the site level by working with both union representatives and management.Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.Manage and resolve complex employee and labor union relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.Provide counsel on employment law issues at the Lyons, KS facilities in collaboration with legal.Provide input into the design of corporate HR policies and implement such policies at the location.Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase engagement, productivity, and retention.Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.Develop offer terms for new hires, promotions, transfers.Provide guidance and input on local restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.Lead employee meetings and training on new employee orientation, employee benefits, and performance management. Identify training needs and coaching opportunities for managers and employees.
