Title: HR Business Partner (CONTRACT)
Location: Herndon, VA
Hourly Rate of Pay Range: $48.00 per hour
Duration of assignment: 6 months (Temp contract)
Hybrid Role - 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a proactive and dynamic HR Business Partner to join our HR team in Herndon, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to influence business performance and drive positive change as the HR interface for 300+ employees across various corporate functions. As a strategic HR partner, you’ll play a key role in optimizing business performance by translating organizational needs into actionable HR solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partnering (30%)
Work closely with business leaders to understand objectives and challenges, providing proactive HR solutions and coaching. Identify potential risks and conflicts, offering guidance on navigating organizational dynamics. Advocate for both business needs and employee welfare while ensuring legal compliance.
Delivering High-Quality Service (25%)
Champion employee development through career coaching and support internal mobility opportunities. Apply consequential management practices when needed and ensure timely responses to employee concerns.
Implementing HR Projects & Processes (25%)
Drive the implementation of HR policies and processes across regions. Simplify procedures, reduce administrative overhead, and promote best practices in HR systems and tools. Lead HR process improvements and provide training on new initiatives.
Change Management (15%)
Lead creative problem-solving efforts to support change management initiatives. Foster a positive environment for change, anticipating resistance and creating buy-in among employees and leadership.
Other Duties (5%)
Take on additional HR responsibilities as needed to ensure the success of the HR department and the broader business.
Qualifications:
Required:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: 6+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a business partner or generalist role.
Skills: Strong project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Proven ability to work in complex, matrixed environments. Expertise in HRIS tools (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP) and Google Suite.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws, HR regulations, and best practices.
Preferred:
Experience in the Aerospace industry.
Experience supporting Corporate Functions (Legal, Finance, etc.) and working in multi-functional, international environments.

Pay Details: $48.00 per hour
