The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join PSLD as a Human Resources & Talent Development Partner supporting our SD&D Procurement Business and Divisional Talent Development needs.

This is a role has a unique opportunity to provide Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) support for the SD&D Procurement organization and strategic talent management support for the division. The Human Resources Business Partner is a strategic liaison between HR and the business who implements HR strategies aligned with business objectives, provides guidance on HR policies and practices, and fosters a culture of employee engagement and development.  This position will provide strategic HR support to the global SD&D Procurement of approximately 450 employees.

Although position will report to the Senior Manager Human Resources, this position will also work under the guidance and direction of the Senior Talent Management Partner.  This role has 50/50 responsibility between HRPB and Talent Development responsibilities but that will flex at times depending on business need.

What You Will Do – HR Business Partner Responsibilities:

Collaborating with senior management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the Procurement strategic goals and objectives, including developing programs to help employees grow and develop their skills.Aligning HR policies and programs which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance by working with local or country HR to ensure compliance. Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc.Analyzing HR metrics (via Workday & PowerBi) and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.  Metrics include, but at not limited to the Employee Insights employee opinion survey, diversity and inclusion, attraction and retention, etc.
 

What You Will Do – Talent Development Partner Responsibilities:

Full ownership of all division-level assessment tools (PSLD Cultural Assessments, Employee Insights Pulse/Year-End Surveys, Know to Grow, Clifton Strengths, New Hire Surveys for S/M and Production) activities—from communications to leading division coordinator team (for EI) to re-evaluating strategic direction to results analysisAssist in research and content development for annual PSLD Leader Impact Summit as neededAssist in creation of and in presenting division-level content for leaders and/or employees on various Talent Development topics as needed, such as Succession Planning for Leaders, Having Effective Career Conversations, etc.Direct Talent Development activities for HRDP as needed

What You Have:

Proficient in Workday - specifically as an HR and/ or Talent Management administratorBusiness Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Candidate must have strong presentation skills and be willing to present to large audiencesDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company. Proficient in Excel.  The candidate will also be required to present and utilize the data to impact decision within and outside the organization.Employee Relations: Knowledge of the rights and obligations in the employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.HR: Policies, Standards and Procedures: Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organization's and industry's standards, procedures and policies regarding human resources management.Talent Management: Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.Problem Solving: Knowledge and experience to act as a critical thinker with a strategic mindset to collaborate on problem solving capabilities.Experience creating and deploying talent management strategies and programs to develop and grow employees, filling skill gaps

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
