HR Consultant
Role Purpose

To support strategic talent management process (acquisition, development, planning and recognition / rewards) of Taichung Plant. Identify and take actions on any current talent gaps, deploy development programs and tools to build a talent pipeline; Collaborate closely with HR colleagues to implement streamlined HR programs that drive standardization across Taiwan while ensuring business partner needs are met. Work with HR peers to identify potential organizational design improvements to support our changing business environment and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities Effectively deploys hiring process for hourly workers and temporary employees. Educates plant leadership on local employment law to ensure compliance with contracts and applicable personnel management laws. Manages and mitigates employee grievances by ensuring supervisors and leadership are creating an open forum for discussion and resolution of plant issues. Coaches and counsels plant management in development and demonstration of leadership and management practices required to establish and maintain a positive work environment. Resolves employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner that protects the needs of the plant to operate in an effective and efficient manner. Takes ownership for specific HR initiatives that support the effective operations of the organization by developing and/or delivering HR programs (e.g., attendance tracking, training, communications) Tracks and documents employment issues and requests (e.g., workers compensation) as required for procedural and legislative purposes. Identifies employee value proposition issues affecting turnover and works with Plant HR Manager to identify actions for improvement. Establishes and maintains a presence on the plant floor to keep a read on the pulse of the organization. Implements appropriate risk management policies and procedures to ensure plant compliance with safety requirements and local, state, and federal  employment laws Education/Experiences Bachelor's degree Successful track record of performance in a Plant HR generalist assignment 5 - 8 years of HR experience (generalist/specialist) or equivalent work experience (assignment/project participation) in aligning client group leadership around organization direction, design, and governance/decision rights  Successful track record in the deployment of HR business processes or programs Familiarity and some working knowledge of design and implementation of effective organization structures and work processes that improve client group ability to achieve desired results. Proficient in verbal and written English language skills Proactive, results oriented Strong computer and analytical skill Manage multiple priorities HR technical expertise Plant experience Relationship acumen, collaborative partner Critical thinking and problem solving Communications skills Organizational acumen Individual leadership and coaching experience Strong computer skills and analytical skill set Project management, Process orientation HR service orientation, responsiveness Balance multiple priorities
