Marzetti Company is looking to hire team members who will grow with us on our journey towards world class operational excellence. The position of Campus Human Resource Manager is responsible for assisting with Human Resources functions including employee relations, staffing, orientation, benefits administration, payroll, workers compensation, training, safety programs, and compliance to federal, state, and local employment and safety laws and company policies. Also assisting with payroll, benefit coordination, employee relations and with projects for management. Greets visitors in a courteous and professional manner, directs them accordingly, and provides GMP information and personal protection equipment as required. Maintains positive associate, corporate and community relations. Develop and maintains proactive employee relations programs to maintain non-union status. Assists with coordinating HR activities through planning and communication with department managers and supervisors. Participates in associate activities and engagement surveys. Works respectfully with all team members to ensure the Safety, Quality, production and support of our products and goals on a daily basis. Practices integrity, respect, accountability, continuous improvement and positive interactions with all Team Members and visitors. Actively participates in Marzetti Operational Excellence, special projects or tasks, and modification programs as needed with prior approval. Actively participates in department/shift/team meetings and is involved with improvement/resolutions & follow-up. Performs daily inspection of all PPE required including but not limited to SLIP-RESISTANT/STEEL-TOED SHOES, safety glasses, gloves, shields and aprons to ensure good overall condition of items that provide optimal personal safety & protection while working in the facility. Successfully acquires and maintains Lock Out-Tag Out Certification for machine and safely performs all functions in accordance to OHSA and company requirements and standards. Performs daily inspection of power equipment with proper documentation. As a member of the T. Marzetti Company, completes his/her Behavior Based Safety Observations (BBSO), corrects issues when identified, and participates in problem solving. Ensures compliance to quality, food safety / HACCP, FSMA, Food Defense, 5S, OSHA and other support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards. Communicates any concerns related to product safety, integrity, quality and legality to management or to the confidential hotline if the need for anonymity is necessary. Develops, coordinates and conducts knowledge/skill, policy and supervisory training for employees/supervisors Compiles, distributes (when required), updates and maintains various employee reports and information. Oversees HR activities through planning and communication with department managers and supervisors to ensure the overall plant HR objectives are accomplished. Complete initial/annual training to ensure the individual is properly qualified (QI) to perform all required job tasks as outlined in training programs/records. Other Responsibilities Include: Processes payroll and attendance tracking for all plant employees. Collects and validates information, compiles records, and submits temporary employee time cards and correspondence. Ensures compliance to all federal, state and local laws and company policies. Performs typing, data entry, filing, and organizing; coordinates all outgoing mail. Maintains confidential electronic and hard-copy employee data, files and records for the location. Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards. Qualifications Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field or equivalent experience preferred Minimum of 3 years of prior experience as an HR business partner supporting internal customers. Experienced in assisting with working through associate relations issues. Supported internal customers with strong, effective coaching and performance management Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently and work with minimal supervision. Proficient in Microsoft office applications, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word Competencies Competencies Action Oriented Decision Quality Peer Relationships Approachability Integrity and Trust Self-Knowledge Courage Organizing Working Conditions/Environment Working Conditions/Environment: Works in an office and manufacturing environment where the associate is regularly required to be in attendance at work in accordance with company expectations and guidelines, speak, see, hear, sit, stand, walk, and bend while moving about the facility. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors. The noise level in the office is moderate and loud in the plant. Earplugs and hairnets, beard nets (if facial hair exists), safety glasses, and slip-resistant/steel-toed shoes are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards. Working hours will normally involve first (daytime) shift, but also includes periodic time on second and third shifts, and limited weekend work.
