HR Country Consultant - Japan

Who You'll Work With

As a Country Acceleration (HR) Consultant for Japan, you partner with country P&C leader and the Country Leadership Board (Ops Board), Inclusive Communities (EROs), and the People & Communities (HR) eco-system to drive engagement, collaboration, and country innovation as well as focus on compliance and change. You will provide strategic consulting, develop and deliver a Country People & Culture plan inspiring change, engagement and compliance, and help to maintain our Great Place to Work® Japan positioning.

What You'll Do

You contribute to global practices and frameworks to ensure the country engagement experience is locally relevant yet consistent globally and aligned to our ambition of remaining The Best Place to Work globally. You also orchestrate the implementation complex HR related changes in country.

Partner with Country P&C (HR) leader, Community Partners (HR BP) and Country Acceleration Consultants in Japan to understand the need and demand of the business to ensure local activities and initiatives match the business strategy for the region Co-own complex country compliance and legislation requirements Partner with P&C stakeholders (e.g. Country Support, Benefits, ER) to ensure country relevance in global/regional/country programs Provide country insights and consulting on how to approach and implement complex country compliance and legal requirements, benefits changes, global programs Support execution of cross-functional projects e.g. restructuring, mergers, acquisitions and divestiture Support critical Employee in Crisis escalations and critical country ER escalations Represent HR externally and drive local Cisco brand strategy

You are a trusted HR consultant, advisor & coach You have business acumen and demonstrate effective stakeholder management and communication skills You are a country knowledge and local HR expertise You have a global approach, are curious and keen to develop knowledge and acquire/share global standard methodologies You care deeply about our customers and about their experience of partnering with us and using our offerings You have sound judgement and are able to manage ambiguity You are a change catalyst with the ability to influence You speak fluent English and Japanese You strive in a matrix environment.
